Referring to your letter of the 26th September
last, I have the honour to enclose, for the information of the Secretary of State, a copy of the Agreement into which we have entered with each of the following men of the Metropolitan Police Force upon their Appointment as Constables in the Police Force of Hong Kong viz:-
(1) E.D.Rogers
(2) S.Robinson
(3) M.Greaves
(4) J.Small
(5) H.W.Johnson
(6) R.Morrison
(7) A.G.Dymond
The first six men have been provided with passages in the S.S."Bothwell Castle" which left London on the 10th Instant.
Steps were taken upon receipt of your letter of the 8th Instant to prevent Constable Dymond from proceeding to Hong Kong pending further instructions, and I enclose a copy of a communication from our Shipping Agents with reference to the cancellation and the payment of half the cost of his passage. 10th Jan: 1894.
